Job summary

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in Germantown, MD to support the engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist with real project work alongside experienced engineers and consultants in a paid, mentored internship.

The role covers project documentation, multidisciplinary coordination, and periodic job site observations while working within project budgets and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing at least two years toward a BS in Electrical Engineering
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong interest in design consulting and clear communication

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical design tasks per code and IMEG standards
• Assist with researching equipment and resources
• Maintain client relations and project documentation
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical teams
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions
• Review project documents for accuracy before final check
• Prepare and issue addendum information
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other contract-required duties
