Job summary

The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University is looking for an entry-level Electrical Engineering Designer to join their Mechanical - Electrical Design and Drafting Service Center.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in the design and procurement support of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) to advance ARL’s research and development projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electronic circuits, and collaborative skills working in a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Support cutting-edge research utilizing PCB software for design documentation.
  • Assist with material selection and manufacturing support.
  • Provide work status updates in design review meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for research.
  • Collaborate with staff on conceptual design of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Assist in evolving design methods and evaluation of new tools.

Skills

Basic working knowledge of electronic circuits
