The Pennsylvania State University’s Applied Research Laboratory seeks an Electrical (ECAD) Engineering Designer to join the MEDD team in State College, PA. You will develop schematics, PCBs, and BOMs, using Teamcenter for configuration management, and support design reviews.

On-site work is required, with potential hybrid arrangements based on research needs. Prior leadership and ECAD expertise are essential for this role within ARL’s MEDD Service Center.

Qualifications

Experience in ECAD software to develop schematics, printed wiring boards, circuit card assemblies, BOMs.
Past success in leading or supervising teams.
Knowledge of printed wiring board construction, fabrication, and assembly.
Experience with project deliverables and team tracking.
IPC CID and CID+ knowledge or IPC standards familiarity.

Responsibilities

Assist engineering programs with ECAD design support in collaboration with R&D Engineers.
Create schematics, PCBs, circuit card assemblies, BOMs, and related documentation.
Archive and manage design documentation using Teamcenter PLM.
Lead or participate in design reviews and meetings.
