The Pennsylvania State University’s Applied Research Laboratory seeks an Electrical (ECAD) Engineering Designer to join the MEDD team in State College, PA. You will develop schematics, PCBs, and BOMs, using Teamcenter for configuration management, and support design reviews.
On-site work is required, with potential hybrid arrangements based on research needs. Prior leadership and ECAD expertise are essential for this role within ARL’s MEDD Service Center.
We are searching for an Electrical (ECAD) Engineering Designer to join our Mechanical and Electrical Design and Drafting (MEDD) team at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State. ARL’s purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific, engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Intel Community (IC). The MEDD Service Center works in collaboration with the ARL Research Offices to create CAD based Mechanical & Electrical Designs including drawing compliance and design Configuration Management support.

Current eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret level or higher and may be subject to a government background investigation to upgrade clearance eligibility, if required.
Your working location is required to be 100% on-site, located in State College, Pennsylvania. Options may exist for a hybrid work from office and work from home scenario dependent upon research requirements. The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $75,408.00 - $132,204.00.
