SUMMARY

We are seeking an Electrical Designer or Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in electrical design or engineering (preferably in power generation or related field). This is an excellent opportunity for those with hands-on experience in electrical design, who are looking to further develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems for generator enclosures, focusing on low voltage power and distribution. You will also handle the integration of various generator accessories while ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design electrical systems for generator enclosures, including transformers, disconnects, panelboards, and associated accessories.
• Create and develop low voltage power distribution systems for generator projects.
• Integrate various electrical components, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards are met.
• Design and implement control systems using relays, PLCs, float switches, and digital I/O for generator systems.
• Work with 3D modeling software, specifically SolidWorks, to design and visualize electrical layouts and ensure accuracy in the design process.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure designs meet customer requirements and industry standards.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Troubleshoot design challenges and provide solutions to optimize efficiency and performance.
• Participate in design reviews, ensuring electrical designs align with overall project goals.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years of experience in electrical design or engineering, preferably in power generation, generator systems or similar power systems.
• Strong understanding of low voltage power distribution, including transformers, panelboards, and disconnects.
• Knowledge of basic control systems using relays, PLCs, float switches, and digital I/O.
• Proficiency in 3D design software, preferably SolidWorks, or familiarity with similar 3D modeling tools.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software for documentation and reporting.
