Houston Methodist is seeking an Echo Sonographer I for full-time work four 10-hour shifts weekly, 6:30am–5:00pm. This entry-level role performs routine echocardiograms (TTE/TEE), uses color/spectral Doppler and 2-D imaging, and handles data transmission to PACS/DICOM systems in inpatient and outpatient settings.

The position requires completion of an approved education program, clinical rotation or six months of cardiac sonography experience, and BLS with one of several ARDMS/CCI certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by credentialing body.
• Successful completion of a clinical rotation in cardiovascular echo or six months of cardiac sonography experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs cardiac echo studies and transmits exams to DICOM storage.
• Educates patients and prepares them for echo exams; Communicates findings to the physician.
• Provides on-call availability and supports the care team during procedures.
