Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Discovery Scientist I for the Main Campus in Cleveland. You will join a cross-functional team to advance early drug discovery projects, work with automated systems, and learn modern drug discovery methods in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and technical).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field is required.
• Entry level (0–2 years) of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform SOPs with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate quality and accuracy in daily work.
• Follow laboratory safety and compliance policies.
• Collaborate with a mentor to design and execute experiments.
• Analyze data and report results.
• Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Maintain inventories and order materials as needed.
• Assist in training technicians and students.
• Perform routine tissue culture.
• Establish automated cell-based assays using SOPs.
• Contribute to publications and patent applications.
