Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Experimental Therapeutics is seeking a Discovery Scientist to translate basic discoveries into patient-focused therapeutics. You will work with a cross-functional team, design and execute experiments, and apply modern drug discovery methods. In this non-patient-facing role, you will analyze data, prepare scientific presentations, and contribute to publications.

Collaboration with mentors and Cleveland Clinic collaborators is expected. Typical hours are 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Entry Level (0-2 years) of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform required Center SOPs with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate consistent quality and accuracy in daily work.
• Follow laboratory safety and compliance policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with an experienced scientific mentor to design and execute experiments.
• Assist with troubleshooting and identifying potential solutions to laboratory challenges.
• Calculate, record, compile, and report experimental data.
• Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks with minimal supervision.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment.
