Level 1 Fasteners in Huntington, WV, seeks a Dimensional Inspector Trainee – Entry Level to join our Quality team. You will learn to measure fasteners with calipers and gauges, read specifications, and perform inspections to ensure parts meet exact requirements.

No prior inspection experience is required; we’ll teach you and help you build a long-term career with a family-owned manufacturer serving defense and aerospace sectors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2
• Strong math skills including fractions, decimals, and basic geometry.
• Comfort with measuring using rulers, tape measures, or precision tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and patience to measure carefully.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Reliable attendance.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident due to ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Measure fasteners using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Read drawings, purchase orders, job routers, and military specifications.
• Calculate tolerances and decide pass/fail.
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections on the shop floor.
• Tag and set aside parts that don't meet requirements per nonconforming material procedures.
• Record inspection results accurately on the computer and on paper.
