Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician, Trailer Technician, or Reefer Technician for full-time, in-person work in Sparks, NV. Join a team that services trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units to keep fleets on the road.

The role offers shift options, competitive benefits, and opportunities to grow technical skills through ASE certifications and hands-on projects. A valid driver’s license and toolbox are required for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of shop experience with DOT annual inspections or brakes is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Obtain toolbox and the required tools.
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers, trucks, refrigeration units, and APUs.
• Replace brakes and perform suspension repairs; conduct DOT/FHWA inspections.
• Diagnose electrical systems and ABS brake system issues.
• Provide tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and flat repairs.
• Troubleshoot APUs; assist with road service calls.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and operate forklifts/hoists safely.
