Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring Diesel, Trailer, or Reefer Technicians in Shafter, CA. Join a team focused on keeping fleets in top condition with preventative maintenance, brake and suspension work, electrical diagnostics, and road service support.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a commitment to quality repairs for trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. Training and tools provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year shop experience with DOT inspections, brakes, or related training.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must own a toolbox and the required tools.
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers, trucks, refrigeration units, and APUs.
• Brake replacements, suspension repairs, and DOT/FHWA inspections.
• Diagnosing electrical systems & ABS brake system repairs.
• Tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and flat repairs.
• Structural repairs on trailers, rear door replacements, and washouts.
• Troubleshooting APUs and providing road service calls.
• Maintaining a clean and organized shop, as well as servicing company vehicles.
• Safely operating forklifts, hoists, and other tools.
• Performing additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
