Job summary

Ryder in Louisville, Kentucky is hiring an Entry Level Diesel Technician to join a stable logistics team. This role offers a second shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm), weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) match, paid training, and generous PTO.

Responsibilities include basic vehicle maintenance, component identification, preventive maintenance, and answering shop tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Basic tools, required
• One year or more experience in transportation maintenance, preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs basic vehicle maintenance
• Performs component identification and minor repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance with training and support
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Perform all entry level tasks
• Diagnoses minor mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
• Performs other related duties as assigned
