Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Diesel Technician in the Carlisle/Harrisburg area. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and supports general mechanical tasks and routine maintenance for trucks and trailers.

You will assist veteran technicians, perform non-technical tasks, keep parts stocked, and document work orders while using basic shop equipment. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in diesel technology or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and meet Schneider's DMV record standards.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist higher skilled technicians on tractor and trailer repairs.
• Replace lights, tires, fuel filters, air filters, mud flaps and mud flap brackets.
• Perform routine cleaning of the shop and equipment.
• Use a computer to create, track and complete work orders.
• Maintain and stock parts inventory.
• Use a forklift and company vehicles to pick up, unload and stock parts.
• Communicate with internal customers on repairs stances.
