Schneider National, Inc. in Carlisle, PA is seeking an Entry Level Diesel Technician for a full-time first shift (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.).

This role provides general, non-diagnostic mechanical assistance to diesel technicians and handles routine maintenance on trucks and trailers. You will perform non-technical tasks such as parts stocking, inventory counting, and parts pick-ups, assist higher skilled technicians, replace lights, tires, filters, and conduct shop and equipment cleaning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in diesel technology or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and meet Schneider's DMV record standards.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist higher skilled technicians on tractor and trailer repairs.
• Replace lights, tires, fuel filters, air filters, mud flaps and mud flap brackets.
• Perform routine cleaning of the shop and equipment.
• Use a computer to create, track and complete work orders.
• Maintain and stock parts inventory.
• Use a forklift and company vehicles to pick up, unload and stock parts.
• Communicate with internal customers, including other shop associates, drivers and operations leaders on repairs stances.
