Job summary

FleetPride in Payson, Utah is seeking a Diesel Technician I to perform basic maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This entry-level role requires basic mechanical skills and a willingness to learn, with tools provided and training available.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology education and hands-on mechanical experience.
• Air Brake certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication and filter replacements.
• Maintain high productivity and minimize comebacks.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose components with proper equipment.
• Troubleshoot exhaust, steering, and air conditioning systems.
• Record measurements and parts used, noting customer requests.
• File, grind, sand and smooth repaired surfaces with power/hand tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
