Job summary

Schneider in Houston, TX is seeking an Entry Level Diesel Technician to start a shop career. You will perform routine maintenance on trucks and trailers, handle component replacements, and troubleshoot common issues.

This full-time position runs Monday to Wednesday with every other weekend, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You will use maintenance software to track work orders and communicate progress to customers.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Relevant industry experience preferred.
• Proficient with computer systems used in shop operations.
• Able to provide own basic tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance, including tire changes, minor electrical repairs, and greasing.
• Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
• Communicate status updates to internal customers.
• Assist with general shop duties, including stocking, inventory management and tracking repairs.
