Job summary

Schneider in Wilmer, TX is seeking an associate to provide general mechanical assistance to diesel technicians, perform routine maintenance on trucks and trailers, and handle parts stocking and related non-technical tasks. This role follows the second shift, with hours from 4:00 p.m.

to 2:30 a.m., Wednesday through Friday and alternating weekends. Responsibilities include assisting higher-skilled technicians, replacing components like lights and filters, using a computer for work orders,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in diesel technology or related field.
• Valid driver's license and DMV record standards met.
• Experience with computer systems.
• Ability to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

• Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working 50% or greater of the daily shift time between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time, receive a $1.50 per hour differential for hours worked.
• Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive an additional $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9pm Friday - 5am Monday).
