Job summary

Greenbush Logistics, Inc. in Mansura, Louisiana, seeks an entry level Diesel Mechanic (Class C Technician) at our terminal. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot a range of systems to keep tractors and trailers ready for operation.

You will read manuals and diagrams, adhere to safety procedures, and maintain PM records. Forklift operation is also part of the duties. Greenbush Logistics offers competitive pay and full benefits in a family-owned setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry level Diesel Mechanic position available.
• Capable of operating power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance checks and services per company policies.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare tractors and trailers for operation.
• Read and apply information from manuals and schematics; follow safety procedures.
• Complete maintenance forms and PM records.
• Operate forklift/powered truck.

Greenbush Logistics, Inc. currently has a career opportunity available for an entry level Diesel Mechanic (Class C Technician) at its terminal location in Mansura, Louisiana.

• Performs repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems.
• Prepares tractor/trailers and assigned equipment for operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools, repair parts, equipment and assigned vehicles.
• Adjust operating mechanisms.
• Determines extent of corrective action and repair parts required to correct malfunctions.
• Can replace engine components and accessories.
• Capable of operating power tools and equipment.
• Obtains replacement parts and turns in unserviceable parts to part section while adhering to policies and required procedures.
• Reads, understands, and applies information contained in company maintenance manuals, technical manuals, policies and common schematic diagrams.
• Knows and applies required company safety procedures.
• Completes applicable maintenance forms and records i.e. PM sheets.
• Capable of operating forklift/powered truck.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (not necessary but is preferred)
