Job summary

Greenbush Logistics, Inc. is seeking an entry level Diesel Mechanic (Class C Technician) at its Mansura, Louisiana terminal. The role involves repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems.

You will prepare vehicles for operation and maintain records of service and parts used. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (preferred) and the willingness to learn maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• Entry-level Diesel Mechanic role requiring basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance per policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare tractors, trailers and equipment for operation.
• Operate forklift/powered truck and use power tools safely.
• Document maintenance using PM sheets and reports.

Summary

Greenbush Logistics, Inc. currently has a career opportunity available for an entry level Diesel Mechanic (Class C Technician) at its terminal location in Mansura, Louisiana.

• Performs repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems.
• Prepares tractor/trailers and assigned equipment for operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools, repair parts, equipment and assigned vehicles.
• Adjust operating mechanisms.
• Determines extent of corrective action and repair parts required to correct malfunctions.
• Can replace engine components and accessories.
• Capable of operating power tools and equipment.
• Obtains replacement parts and turns in unserviceable parts to part section while adhering to policies and required procedures.
• Reads, understands, and applies information contained in company maintenance manuals, technical manuals, policies and common schematic diagrams.
• Knows and applies required company safety procedures.
• Completes applicable maintenance forms and records i.e. PM sheets.
• Capable of operating forklift/powered truck.
