Job Description

At Soar Autism Center, our care model is based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a program tailored to the unique learning needs of children with early autism. We integrate child development best practices and behavior analysis to help children grow, learn, and thrive in their daily experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the primary caregiver: Teach new skills to children in a 1:1 setting, supporting their overall development.
2. Engage children in play-based routines: Use everyday moments to teach and nurture essential life skills.
3. Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to design and implement individualized developmental plans, ensuring fidelity to the ESDM and Soar's model.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with families, providing regular updates and guidance based on best practices.

Qualifications:

• Interest and experience in child care roles (e.g., daycare, nannying) or related educational backgrounds (e.g., bachelor's in psychology or child development).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with children and families.
• Effective team player.
• Reliable transportation to training and center locations; punctuality is essential.
• Physical requirements include frequently sitting and standing, shifting positions, lifting up to 50 lbs., and occasional running to catch up with clients.
