Qualifications

• Exceptional customer/patient service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Basic computer knowledge; Denticon experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
• Detail oriented.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Meet state requirements for DA duties and licenses; BLS/CPR and radiography certificates.
• Dental assisting experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in healthcare or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and escort patients from reception to treatment areas.
• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked and inventory is maintained.
• Take and record patient histories and vital signs.
• Document dental procedures as instructed and per legal requirements.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Pour and base diagnostic models and fabricate temporary restorations.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and assist during procedures.
• Provide dental education on oral health and hygiene.
• Notify Office Manager of equipment trouble or safety concerns.
• Attend morning huddles and regular office meetings.
• Be sensitive to patients' emotions.
• Follow company policies and state/federal laws.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned.
