Job summary

Sterling Labs in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Data Entry Technician to support the laboratory and client services. You will enter data into the LIMS and manage sample labeling and shipment workflows as part of the production process.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, solid computer skills, and a keen eye for detail. The role is in-person with a 12:30 PM–9:00 PM schedule and overtime opportunities is available.

Job Overview

As the Data Entry Technician, you will provide professional-level support to our laboratory and customer teams by communicating well with leadership, team members, and other departments. This role is part of the laboratory production process and is the first step in producing high-quality results for our clients.

Specific Duties of the Position

• Receive and open packages and client sample drop-offs.
• Enter all data accurately into the laboratory information management system (LIMS).
• Facilitate sample information flow between the laboratory and customer service staff.
• Label all sample containers.
• Prepare bottle orders and ship them to clients.
• Confirm receipt of shipped samples and packages.
• Order supplies and distribute orders to the laboratory staff.
• Neutralize and dispose of samples in accordance with Sterling Labs’ safety and waste disposal procedures.

Physical Requirements of the Position

• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear all PPE required for the position.

Compensation:

$17.25/hour, paid biweekly, with opportunity for overtime.
