Job summary

Purdue Information Technology in West Lafayette, IN is seeking an Associate Data Center Administrator to support maintenance and day-to-day objectives of the Data Center computing environment across the Purdue system. You will work with management and team leads to assist in operations, monitoring, and cabling of data center equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in IT and about one year of related experience, with travel between campuses and participation in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required
• 1 year of experience in Data Center Operations, Networking, or mission-critical environment required
• Experience with enterprise and research class computing hardware and software a plus

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment installation and cabling of data center equipment
• Assist in operating, monitoring and maintaining facilities systems
• Support after-hours issues and on-call rotations as needed
• Travel between Purdue campuses to perform activities as a normal job function
