Job summary

TEKsystems in Montgomery, AL seeks an entry-level wiring technician to layout and install wireways, racks, patch panels, and grounding for data centers. Responsibilities include building closets, terminating blocks, and supervising conduit installations while working a 6am–5pm shift.

This is a fully onsite contract role based in Montgomery, AL. The candidate will read blueprints, use common cabling tools, and follow universal color codes.

Qualifications

• Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools.
• Able to interpret blueprints and project documents.
• Know the universal color codes.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices.
• Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
• Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
• Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers.
