Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an entry-level candidate for a fully onsite Data Center Technician role in Fort Mill, SC. No prior experience required, but hands-on training will cover installing cable trays, building server racks, and fiber termination in a high-volume data center environment.

You will join a team building out one of the region's largest facilities, with opportunities to grow into broader data center roles as you gain skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and basic construction tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Punctuality, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Install cable trays and build server racks.
• Pull cable and fiber throughout large data center spaces.
• Learn to punch down and terminate fiber connections.
• Route and dress cables using fish tape, J-hooks, D-rings, and more.
• Perform grounding, fire-stopping, and low-voltage terminations.
• Follow blueprints and complete documentation with precision.
• Support technicians and team leads on large-scale infrastructure projects.
