Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Full-time Customer Supply Chain Support role in Houston, TX to assist in optimizing the customer’s onsite supply chain.

Entry-level position with onboarding and potential flexible scheduling after training, aimed at building experience in customer relationships and operations. You will handle inventory, order placement and fulfillment, while developing skills in communication and problem solving within a sales-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pursuing or have a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented.
• Comfortable in a sales-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Ability to lift/move packages up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests and coordinate resources.
• Manage inventory and place/fulfill orders.
• Receive and ship inventory; perform inventory fulfillment at the facility.
• Source and quote products; participate in process improvements.
• Monetize and report value of supply chain activities to the customer.
