Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Reno, NV is seeking a Part-time Customer Supply Chain Support to help manage inventory, orders, and related activities at the customer site. The role is an entry-level position designed to build a foundation in customer relationship management and operations.

A flexible schedule may be offered after onboarding and performance goals are met. The on-site role supports the NV003 In Plant Store and requires lifting up to 75 lbs, with shifts Mon-Fri 7:00am - 5:00pm and 10–28 hours per

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or equivalent industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Be comfortable in a sales-oriented environment
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Responsibilities

• Responding and coordinating resources relative to customer requests
• Managing inventory
• Placing and fulfilling orders
• Receiving and shipping inventory
• Executing inventory fulfillment within the customer facility
• Sourcing and quoting new and existing products
• Participating in continuous improvement activities and implementing new business processes
• Monetizing and reporting the value of supply chain management activities to the customer
