Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Virginia LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help keep the store well stocked and safe.

This role requires strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a retail environment. Part-time position at 27 Callahan Street, Appalachia, Virginia 24216-1200.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in customer service in retail, hospitality, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, bending, etc).
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at a cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
