Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, manage sales transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and well-stocked.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience in retail or similar environments. This part-time role requires the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and to stand for long periods in a fast-paced store setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
