Job summary

Cadence Design Systems is seeking new STEM graduates to join the CST Systems Rotational Program in San Jose, CA. This full-time entry-level role offers hands-on training across Allegro PCB Design, Sigrity and IC Packaging, with two six-month rotations to start your career in systems design.

You will gain experience in schematics, high-speed design, power integrity and customer-facing support, learning from application engineers and collaborating with the sales team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related STEM field.
• Coursework or project experience in circuits, signals or digital hardware (capstone, club project or board bring-up).
• Experience with PCB or CAD tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle or similar) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Join a one-year cohort-based program with two six-month rotations in CST Systems.
• Provide design services, technical sales support and front-line customer support.
• Work with account teams to solve PCB, packaging and signal/power integrity problems.
• IC package and multi-die design work.
• UNIX and scripting languages such as Python and SKILL.
• Customer-facing technical support, evaluations and demos.
