Job summary

Xanterra is seeking an Entry-Level Cook for the Grand Canyon Railway and Hotel. This seasonal role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a path to grow in a fast-paced culinary environment.

You'll prepare items to Grand Canyon Railway standards, maintain hygiene, and work with a supportive team. Schedule includes morning and evening shifts; pay is competitive at $19.10 per hour, with full benefits and perks. End date is 1/6/2027.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Previous cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Basic knife skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support Xanterra’s Mission, Core Values and policies.
• Follow Food Safety Management System and SOPs.
• Prepare menu items per Grand Canyon Railway standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work area.
• Assist in kitchen cleaning and prep duties as assigned.
• Work in alignment with safety, hygiene and uniform standards.
• Follow FIFO for stored foods and proper waste control.
• Be flexible with days, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.
