White Lodging is seeking a dedicated Culinarian to join our kitchen team at Plaza San Antonio. The role focuses on learning the full duties of a cook, adhering to F&B procedures, and complying with health and safety guidelines.

You will assist with portion control and inventory while supporting guest satisfaction through quality preparation. Ideal candidates bring basic cooking skills and the ability to work at a fast pace, with culinary education or apprenticeship preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Basic cooking knowledge and ability to stand and move for long periods.
• Familiarity with health department regulations and food handling procedures.
• Willingness to learn and follow company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Train as a Culinarian, learning and practicing the full job description and duties of a cook.
• Follow company F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal guidelines.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards.
• Check freshness of foods and ingredients; ensure all recipes and portion-use records are followed.
• Be aware of guest feedback scores and work to positively influence rankings.
• Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
