Sunbelt Controls in Pleasanton, CA seeks an entry-level controls engineer to apply technical knowledge to design, select materials, and develop sequence of operation for low‑level projects. You will produce design drawings and as‑built documentation, while coordinating with the Project Manager to meet schedule and budget goals.

The role requires proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, and general engineering tools; travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; technical school training welcome.
• Ability to read construction blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Proficient with MS Office, Windows; basic TCP/IP networking desired.
• Well organized; capable of high-paced environment; prioritize tasks.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Research and select control system peripherals.
• Produce design drawings and sequences of operations for lower level systems; support mid-level engineers.
• Read construction drawings and project specifications.
• Collaborate to identify options for the customer (Energy Efficiency, Equipment Interface, Value Engineering).
• Modify designs to reflect field changes (As-Builts).
• Generate Operation & Maintenance manuals at project close.
• Manage time and costs budgets for assigned tasks.
• Communicate issues and information needs to project team.
• Submit daily/weekly work reports to leadership.
• Manage weekly project time allocations.
• Follow safety requirements; OSHA training.
• Attend OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 safety training.
• Pursue training and development plans.
• Participate in ongoing development with entry level engineers.
