(Intertek-PSI) team for our Little Rock area office located in Sherwood, AR. Intertek's Building and Construction division offers industry-leading assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting services to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of developments and assets.

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) provides construction assurance, testing, and inspection services in civil and commercial construction, including materials testing, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.

What are we looking for?

The Engineering Technician role involves performing various testing, observations, and site assessments under supervision and/or detailed procedures.

How You’ll Make An Impact At Intertek
  • Perform testing, observations, and site assessments as directed.
  • Operate testing equipment and analyze data, such as soil and concrete tests.
  • Work with drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
  • Observe site activities and perform tasks accordingly.
  • Document test results thoroughly and accurately.
  • Calculate mathematical test results using a calculator.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Follow safety practices and policies to ensure safety at work.
Minimum Education Required

High School/GED

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
  • No experience required; will train.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record required.
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, listening) and interpersonal skills required.
  • Certifications may be required based on region and state.
  • Basic math, computer skills, and ability to read work plans required.
  • Ability to work off-shift and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in field or laboratory construction materials testing preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work at heights and during night shifts if necessary.
