Your Role: Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced


As an entry-level Laboratory Technician in Duluth, Georgia, you will play a key role in analyzing and assessing materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and masonry. Working alongside experienced technicians and professionals, you'll help ensure accurate and thorough recording of test results, upkeep of lab equipment, and support in calibrating instruments. Your efforts will be vital in confirming that materials meet specified standards, directly contributing to the success of our projects.




What You'll Do:



  • Testing and Documentation: Perform and record tests on various construction materials with accuracy and meticulousness. While working with experienced team members, you will also operate independently, ensuring that test results are logical, thorough, and prepared for review.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Keep all laboratory equipment in excellent condition and ensure it is properly calibrated. Your role will be key in maintaining the lab's efficiency and the accuracy of our testing procedures.




What We're Looking For:



  • A High School diploma/GED

  • 0-2 years of experience in a construction materials laboratory

  • Effective math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure

  • Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language

  • One (1) or more active certifications, a plus:

    • American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician

    • International Code Council (ICC): Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)

    • DOT Certifications in the fields of Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and Concrete






What to Expect:



  • With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions

  • Walking over rough terrain and standing for long periods (up to 12 hours)

  • Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of materials and equipment

  • Safely handling field tools and maneuvering equipment on active construction sites
