Job summary

MC Squared is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician to join our Construction Services team in Georgia. No prior lab experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided.

You will assist with testing soil, concrete, masonry, aggregates, and other construction materials under guidance from senior staff. The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and hands-on lab work, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, construction, engineering technology, or related field is a plus but not required.
• No prior laboratory experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing of soil, concrete, masonry, aggregates, and other construction materials.
• Prepare soil and aggregate samples for laboratory testing.
• Perform or assist with testing: moisture content, Proctor tests, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, soil classification, concrete strength, specimen preparation and curing, masonry tests, and aggregate testing.
• Log, store, and maintain traceability of laboratory samples.
• Enter test results into reporting software and assist with preparing laboratory reports.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
