Job summary

Kiewit is looking for an entry-level worker to assist skilled craft crews at construction sites, performing tasks with safety as a priority. You will learn to support craftsmen, set up work, and follow supervisor instructions.

The role requires physical mobility, ability to stand/walk, and the use of hand and power tools. You may be required to work irregular hours, pass pre-access drug testing, and comply with all safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior field experience preferred.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions; communicate effectively with supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsman in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions from superintendents, foreman and experienced crew.
• Prioritize safety and keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Read and understand warning signs, operating instructions, and site safety rules.
• Learn to observe functioning of installed equipment to identify hazards.
