Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an intermediate-level construction laborer to assist skilled craft workers on site. You will perform physically demanding tasks, follow directions from superintendents and foremen, and keep work areas clean and safe.

The role requires being able to move about a busy construction site, work in varying weather, and adhere to safety rules. Some shifts may include overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Proficiency with electrical, hand, power, layout tools and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsman in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions from superintendents, foreman and other experienced crew.
• Prioritize safety while performing duties.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Read warning signs and understand equipment instructions.
• Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards.
