Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Construction Inspector in Akron, OH. You will observe construction activities, document progress, and assist with site coordination on transportation and utility projects.

You will prepare daily field reports, perform basic material testing, and use tools like Appia, SiteManager and BlueBeam. A recent graduate in civil or related field with a valid driver’s license is welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a relevant bachelor's degree
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license for commuting to office/project locations
• Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, dragging, stooping, standing and walking for long periods outdoors
• Willing to learn and adapt to construction site procedures and safety practices

Responsibilities

• Observe and document construction activities on transportation and utility projects to ensure compliance with plans and standards
• Assist in communication and coordination among contractors, design teams, utility providers and local stakeholders
• Prepare and manage detailed daily field reports including work performed, field measurements and calculations
• Conduct on-site material testing such as soil sampling, compaction and concrete testing to verify quality
• Utilize tools like Microsoft Office, Appia, SiteManager and BlueBeam to document, report and collaborate
• Perform additional duties to support project success and gain exposure to various construction aspects
