Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Management Technology, Engineering Technology, Agriculture or Biological Engineering, or a related field.
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license for transportation to and from office/project locations.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn and try new things.
• Willing to work in extreme temperatures as some work assignments are outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document construction activities on transportation and utility infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Assist in communication and coordination among contractors, design teams, utility providers, and local stakeholders to help keep projects running smoothly.
• Prepare and manage detailed daily field reports, including work performed, field measurements, and calculations to track progress and support payment processes.
• Conduct on-site material testing, including soil sampling, compaction testing, and concrete testing, to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
• Use industry-standard tools such as Microsoft Office, Appia, SiteManager, and BlueBeam to document, report, and collaborate effectively.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned to support project success and gain exposure to various aspects of the construction process.
