You will observe construction activities, track progress, and help ensure compliance with plans and specifications on transportation and utility projects. Responsibilities include documenting field activities, performing basic material testing, preparing field reports, and coordinating with contractors and teams.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Management Technology, Engineering Technology, Agriculture or Biological Engineering, or a related field.
• Reliable transportation to and from office/project locations is required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document construction activities on transportation and utility projects to ensure plans and standards are followed.
• Assist in coordinating among contractors, design teams, utility providers, and local stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage detailed daily field reports with measurements and calculations to track progress.
• Conduct on-site material testing including soil sampling, compaction, and concrete testing to verify quality.
• Utilize tools like Microsoft Office, Appia, SiteManager, and BlueBeam for documentation and reporting.
• Take on additional duties to support project success.
