Job summary

Harman Huffman Construction Group (HHCG) is seeking a motivated Project Estimator to join our preconstruction team. This role supports estimating and preconstruction efforts from initial takeoff through bid submission.

Qualifications

• Entry-level acceptable, mid-level preferred (1–5 years in construction estimating or related roles).
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred (but not required with experience).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, or estimating software is a plus.
• Self-driven, motivated, and eager to learn through hands-on training.
• Ability to work full-time in office.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and addenda to determine scope requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimating.
• Send bid invitations and coordinate subcontractor pricing.
• Analyze subcontractor proposals and compare scope coverage.
• Prepare budgets, bid tabs, and estimate packages.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving alternative evaluations.
• Participate in internal preconstruction meetings and strategy sessions.
