Job summary

GHD, a global professional services leader, is seeking entry-level Laborer/Equipment Operators for its Construction group in the United States. You will operate heavy equipment (tracked excavator, dozer, wheel loader) and perform related labor tasks while following safety procedures.

Travel is rotational: three weeks onsite, one weekend home, then repeat. We reward safe operation, adherence to drawings/plans, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years operating a variety of medium size equipment (e.g., skid steer, forklift, tele-handlers)
• Some basic operation of equipment (dozer, loader, excavator, roller/compactor) in a production setting
• Ability to read/use tape measures, transit/levels, etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium equipment at high caliber of quality
• Safely operate equipment with the ability to achieve daily production goals
• Conduct daily maintenance checks of all operated equipment and vehicles
• Provide physical labor with hand tools, power tools, etc. when vital
• Read, interpret and construct according to engineered drawings/plans
• Assist Superintendent and foreperson to ensure final product quality
• Complete quarterly and yearly Safety Reporting Forms (STEPs, UA/UC/SW)
