Job summary

Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. (TWE) seeks an entry-level Concrete Laboratory Technician for our DFW Texas office. You will test and inspect construction materials including soils and concrete, with training provided for all candidates.

This role emphasizes documenting results, collaborating with field and laboratory staff, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a busy lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to retain information and become self-sufficient.
• Capable of effective verbal and written communication.
• Dexterity to operate laboratory equipment.
• Ability to distinguish colors.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, observation, and inspection as directed by Manager; adhere to specialized procedures and provided training
• Provide clear documentation of finding and results
• Communicate information to other technicians, project managers, clients, or vendors as directed by direct Manager
• Support field and/or laboratory personnel as needed to complete tasks
• Transport equipment, specimens or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment setup
• Maintain a clean work area
• Support our quality policies and procedures; maintain the quality of your work and the quality of TWE in the highest regard with each task you perform.
• Adhere to the TWE safety policies and procedures and encourage the improvement of these policies by your participation in near miss and safety audit programs
