Job summary

Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Testing Technician for our DFW location. The role involves field testing soils and concrete materials with no prior experience required.

You will support lab and field teams, maintain samples and documentation, and grow with the company while following safety policies. This is a full-time position in the Fort Worth area. Responsibilities include sample handling, testing, reporting, and daily communication with dispatch

Qualifications

• Must pass background check
• Capable of handling materials and equipment
• On Call schedule; willingness to work variable hours
• 0-6 months of experience
• Ability to lift 10-50 lbs and work outdoors
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Sample or perform basic tests of soils, concrete, asphalt and other materials in the field or laboratory as directed
• Transport representative samples to the laboratory for processing and testing
• Identify all material samples and maintain identification throughout testing
• Support field and/or laboratory personnel as needed
• Maintain a clean work area and equipment
• Assist other technicians or professional staff as needed
• Grow with the company by retaining information shown and explained
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in safety audits
• Produce daily reports on tested materials
• Follow all procedures and protocols
• Build positive relationships with project team
• Arrive on site on time
• Communicate with dispatch daily
• Relay information to management

Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. (TWE) is seeking applicants for an entry levelConstruction Materials Testing Technician in our DFW location. This position will require field testing various construction materials including soils and concrete materials. No experience is necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sample or perform basic tests of soils, concrete, asphalt and other materials in the field or laboratory as directed.


• Transport representative samples to the laboratory for processing and testing


• Uniquely identify all materials samples and maintain this identification throughout each testing process.


• Support field and/or laboratory personnel as needed to complete tasks.


• Responsible for maintaining a clean work area and your equipment.


• Assists other technicians or professional staff as needed.


• You are expected to retain the information shown and explained to you so that you may continue to grow with our company.


• Support our quality policies and procedures; maintain the quality of your work and the quality of TWE in the highest regard with each task you perform.


• Adhere to the TWE safety policies and procedures and encourage the improvement of these policies by your participation in near miss and safety audit programs.


• Produce daily reports on tested materials


• Follow all company's procedures and protocols


• Build positive relationships with project team


• Arrive at the job site on time each day


• Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis


• Communicate with project teameach day and relay any information to management

REQUIREMENTS
