Job summary

UES invites applications for a Concrete Laboratory Technician in our Fort Worth lab. This entry-level position offers hands-on training to perform concrete cylinder testing and related materials analysis.

You will support CMT operations by logging, labeling, curing, and testing samples per ASTM standards, contributing to accurate results for safe, high-quality construction projects in the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical coursework in engineering, geology, construction science, or related field preferred.
• 0-3 years of experience in construction materials testing or geotechnical lab work; entry-level role with training provided.
• Commitment to workplace safety including PPE and OSHA protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing on construction materials, including soil and concrete, following applicable standards.
• Ensure testing requirements meet project specifications and company procedures.
• Accurately document and report test results with organized records.
• Assist with sample preparation, handling, and proper storage to maintain sample integrity.
• Operate laboratory testing equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.
• Communicate test results and issues with lab supervisors, engineers, and field personnel.
• Perform additional duties to support the laboratory team, field technicians, and project managers.
