Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Texas is seeking an entry-level crafts support role to assist skilled craftspersons and learn under supervision. You will help with layout work, read plans, and handle materials and tools for installations.

The position requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather, lift and climb as needed, and to follow safety rules. Overtime, nights and weekends may be required by workload.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist Carpenter in layout work and learn to read plans/specifications.
• Assist in lifting, positioning and securing materials and workpieces.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures and install other items as directed.
• Load, transport, unload and furnish crew with materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
