Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Texas is seeking an entry-level craft assistant to support skilled trades on construction sites. You will assist in setting up work, follow supervisors' instructions, and perform tasks requiring physical labor with safety as the top priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsman in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions given by superintendents, foreman and other experienced crew.
• Perform duties with safety as the first focus.
• Keep work areas clean and in orderly conditions.
• Read warning signs and operating instructions for equipment and jobsite safety rules.
• Learn to observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards.
