Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled carpenters on industrial sites. You will support layout, materials handling, and installation tasks while learning from experienced crew members.

Responsibilities include reading plans, assisting with erecting scaffolding, and ensuring safe handling of tools and materials. The role requires physical activity and flexibility with hours, including overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Concrete Carpenter in a Power Plant / Industrial setting.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Carpenter in layout work and learn to perform lay-out independently.
• Learn to read and understand plans and specifications; visualize 2D drawings in 3D.
• Assist in lifting, positioning and securing materials and workpieces.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembly and install other items as directed.
• Load, transport, unload and furnish crew with materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
