Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Louisiana is seeking an entry-level Construction Helper to support skilled craftspersons on-site. Under supervision, you will learn to read plans, handle materials, and prepare job sites for installations.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to follow safety rules, and readiness to work long hours. Prior field exposure is a plus, but training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Experience on construction sites and knowledge of safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist Carpenter with lay-out work and learn to perform lay-out independently.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications, visualize 3D from 2D drawings.
• Assist in lifting, positioning and securing materials and equipment.
• Set up scaffolding and ladders and install components as directed.
• Transport materials, tools, and supplies to crew as needed.
